Court: Chicago-area casinos must pony up...

SPRINGFIELD -- Illinois' richest casinos must pay part of their profits to horse owners and racetracks, the Supreme Court ruled Thursday.

A unanimous court rejected the idea that four Chicago-area riverboats were unconstitutionally targeted by a 2006 law requiring they turn over 3 percent of their receipts to an ailing racing industry.
